In the video below, I will be showing the basic process for forming a mummy from GSP cane. This is a very important step in making a reed blank; there are very important things to be aware of when doing this process.
Materials involved for this process:
Water
Yarn (dry)
Gouged, Shaped, and Profiled cane (GSP)
Forming Mandrel
Pliers
Wire (I prefer 24gauge german brass wire for bassoon)
Scissors (for cutting the yarn)
I am using Danzi SVH shaped cane in this video.
